Information We May Process
- Account information such as name, email address, and sign-in provider details.
- Practice answers, transcripts, interview questions, Coach Notes, scores, and practice history.
- Usage events, access status, and basic product interaction records.
- Technical logs needed to operate, debug, secure, and improve the service.
Practice Answers and Recordings
You may record spoken practice answers in the interview room. When you submit an answer for Coach Notes, the recording and related practice content are used to transcribe your answer and generate interview-practice feedback.
Transcription and Coach Notes generation may use different selected third-party AI service providers depending on deployment configuration, including OpenAI and/or Google Gemini.
Please do not include client names, matter details, privileged communications, confidential information, or sensitive legal facts in practice answers. Use general descriptions or placeholders instead.
Transcripts and Coach Notes
Transcripts and Coach Notes may be saved to Practice History so you can review your progress and practise the same question again.
Audio, transcripts, practice answers, job-posting text, interviewer questions, Coach Notes, and related practice content may be processed by the selected third-party AI service providers that support transcription, interview-question generation, and coaching.
If you use Legal Interview Coach without signing in, Practice History may be stored locally in your browser. If you sign in, account-linked Practice History is stored in the app database so it can be available with your account.
Payments and Prep Access
If you purchase Prep Access, checkout and payment processing are handled by Paddle, which may act as Merchant of Record where applicable. Paddle may collect payment, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and compliance information under its own policies.
We do not store your full card number. We may receive and store information needed to activate access and provide support, such as:
- Payment and transaction status
- Transaction identifiers from Paddle
- Which Prep Access plan was purchased
- Customer email associated with the purchase
- Related metadata from payment notifications
We keep internal records such as payment records, webhook event logs, and entitlements to control access, prevent duplicate activation, handle refunds, and respond to support requests. We do not use these records to sell your personal information.
Audio Recordings
Raw answer audio is not stored in the app database. If audio playback or Practice History playback is available, audio playback files may be stored locally in your browser or device.
Local recordings can only be removed from the browser/device where they were stored. Clearing browser data may also remove locally stored recordings and anonymous Practice History.
Deleting Practice History
You can delete individual practice sessions, and you can delete all Practice History from the product interface.
For signed-in users, deleting Practice History removes the practice session and related transcripts, Coach Notes, scores, and practice records from your account in the app database.
For local or anonymous use, deletion removes local browser history and attempts to remove local recordings from that browser/device. Local recordings stored in another browser or device must be removed from that browser/device.
Deletion from Legal Interview Coach does not promise deletion from third-party systems beyond the app's control, such as providers that processed data to provide transcription, AI feedback, hosting, payments, or support.
Third-Party Services
Legal Interview Coach may use third-party providers to operate the product. Depending on deployment configuration, selected AI providers may process audio, transcripts, practice answers, job-posting text, interview questions, Coach Notes, and related practice content to provide transcription, coaching, and question-generation features.
- OpenAI and/or Google Gemini for AI transcription, Coach Notes, interview-question generation, and related AI features, depending on the configured providers.
- Neon/Postgres for account-linked app data storage.
- Paddle for checkout and payment processing.
- Resend for support email notifications.
- Cloudflare Turnstile for spam and bot protection on support forms.
- Vercel for hosting, runtime infrastructure, and analytics where used.
- Authentication providers for sign-in.
Legal Interview Coach is not endorsed by Google, OpenAI, the NCA, any law society, or any employer.
Sensitive Information
Please avoid entering confidential client information, privileged legal material, highly sensitive personal information, or anything you would not want processed by an interview-practice tool.
Your Choices
You can choose not to create an account and use the available anonymous practice flow where offered. You can delete individual practice sessions or all Practice History from the Practice History area.
Paid Prep Access requires a signed-in account tied to your purchase.
